Inspiring Student Worker Awards 2026 - Information for students

If you have a manager/supervisor on or off campus, who has been flexible with your studies, offered you chances to progress and given you a fantastic experience, you might want to consider nominating them in the Employer category as part of the Inspiring Student Worker Awards 2026!

It gives you a chance to acknowledge their hard work and encourages a supportive working culture for future students.

You can be nominated as a student in one of the four following categories: Significant Contribution, Leadership, Innovation & Problem Solving and Team. Please feel free to tell your employer that the UoS awards scheme is now open!

However, we know it can sometimes feel a bit awkward to "ask" for a nomination. If you are feeling a little shy, let us help. Simply fill in this form. Our team will contact your employer directly to let them know the awards are open and encourage them to nominate a team member. We won't mention that you asked us to!

Closing Date for Nominations: Sunday 15th March 2026
Celebration Event: Wednesday 6th May 2026 - on University of Sheffield campus
Prizes: Each student category winner and the employer winner will receive a prize
